High school sucks. Nothing ever goes right, nobody understands, and nobody is ever going to ask you to the prom. The preppies, the geeks, the druggies, the cheerleaders, the rich kids, the outcasts, the parents and teachers who just don't get it; It's as if high school's only purpose is to push you farther away from your true goals. Your siblings will always be cooler than you, you'll never get that scholarship to art school, and you'll never meet the man or woman of your dreams... Or maybe you will!
Come relive the on-screen anxiety of the teenage years as Snackers improvises an 80's high school drama/comedy in the style of such great John Hughes works as Sixteen Candles, Breakfast Club, Weird Science, Ferris Bueller, and Some Kind of Wonderful with all the angst and wackiness of the original movies.
Snackers brings together some of Austin's most accomplished and appealing improvisers in a show that encompasses deeply-drawn characters, witty wordplay, and slapstick silliness -- sometimes all at the same time. Equally adept at playing realistic relationships and jaw-dropping absurdities, Snackers is deeply, seriously committed to having as much fun as possible onstage... which is good news for everyone in the room..

LOOK COOKIE [Austin]
Look Cookie likes improv --- so much that they practice it. Improvisation doesn’t end with scenes on a stage, though: Look Cookie improvises their grocery list, the messages they write on their Christmas cards, and the haikus they scrawl on bathroom walls. Look Cookie even improvises their witty banter at the exclusive dinner parties they throw. But if you’re invited to one, you might want to bring your own food. Improvised grocery lists tend to include a lot of hummus.
